In the Forest Family area School of Noise will be holding workshops experimenting, creating and combining Sounds and Science.
School of Noise workshops aim to provide creative and imaginative activities for both young people and adults, exploring sound in accessible, fun and educational ways.
All of our activities are tailored so that anyone can participate in them and have fun exploring and being creative with sound. Using a wide variety of analogue and digital equipment our activities include; exploring the science of sound, composing original experimental sound art, recording techniques, sculpting sounds using small modular synthesisers, live coding of music, Foley sound design for film, building cardboard record players, conducting orchestras of fruit and vegetables, soundwalks, learning about acoustic ecology plus more.
There is no need to have experience playing music or using any of our equipment to take part in the workshops and they are open to people of all abilities.
